The Bachelor of Chinese Language and Education program offered by the Faculty of Language and Communication (FBK), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) is designed to produce graduates who are knowledgeable, skilled, and ethical in the fields of Chinese language, literature, and culture, in addition to having solid pedagogical skills. This program balances linguistic theory, communication, literature, and language teaching methods to produce high-quality educators and language professionals.

 

Through a comprehensive and interactive learning approach, students will be exposed to the structure of the Chinese language, writing and translation, intercultural communication, classical and modern literature, and the use of technology in language education. Teaching practice and industrial training components are also included to strengthen students' understanding in applying theory to real practice.

 

This program not only prepares graduates for careers in education, but also opens up wide opportunities in the open job market that increasingly requires professionals with bilingual skills and cross-cultural understanding. Graduates who are fluent in Chinese have the potential to venture into various sectors such as diplomacy, international business, media, and creative industries that involve interaction between communities of different races.
