The Diploma in English offered by the Faculty of Language and Communication (FBK), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) is a study program that provides a strong foundation in English language proficiency, communication skills, and linguistic knowledge. This program is specifically designed to produce graduates who are competent in language skills and critical thinking, and are ready to continue their studies to a higher level.

The program's curriculum emphasizes the four main components of language — listening, speaking, reading, and writing — in addition to strengthening understanding in the fields of grammar, phonetics, discourse, and intercultural communication. Students are also exposed to professional skills such as academic writing, organizational communication, basic translation, and the use of technology in modern communication.

This program also serves as a feeder program for students who wish to continue their studies to the Bachelor of Education (Teaching English as a Second Language) with Honors (TESL) level at UPSI or other fields of study related to language and communication.
